F.A.Q.
Beginning TCI Teachers:
• may have been dabbling in TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading & Storytelling) and/or TCI (Teaching with comprehensible input-based strategies)
• are not completely comfortable implementing basic techniques that are fundamental to teaching with TPRS and other CI-based strategies.
• do not use TPRS and/or other CI-based (acquisition-driven) approaches consistently in their classrooms.
• have not been to a minimal amount of TPRS or CI-based training. (one day or less)
Experienced TCI teachers:
• have been implementing TPRS and/or CI-based strategies consistently in your classroom for at least one year.
• have been to at least a full-day TPRS/CI training.
• are comfortable using strategies that are fundamental to TPRS and/or CI-based instruction in their own classrooms.
What should I bring to the conference?
A laptop or other device (or a notebook and pen), a sweater or sweatshirt, and a water bottle (Conference location has water bottle stations at their drinking fountains).
Will there be child care services?
Child care services are not provided.
I have heard of TPRS/CI/ADI, but don't know many details. Is this right for me?
